Tat A Brussels Monument

It has been a while since the last post. I have been busy. A few of you know that my wife is not well. She has sciatica and possibly a recurrence of cancer so we have been at the doctor a lot. She is coming along and doing ok, but the pain from the sciatica is the worst of it. The cancer, if it is that, is under control and about taken care of.
I was on Craftree the other day and found something to start on that is probably worthwhile. There is something called Tat A Brussels Monument. Here is a link to the pattern and more information. Please read the FAQ pdf. You can make the motifs in a pretty short time. She has a video on there to explain it to those who may have trouble with it.

This is my first one. I will probably send several and one of the ladies at work is going to make some too. In size 20, this comes out about 1" (25.4mm) across.

  2. Ah, thanks for the link. I've seen references to the 'monument' but didn't know what it was about.

  4. Sciatica is a beast! Husband came home from Dr with info on an device implanted in body about size of pacemaker with two wires going to either side of spine. Interferes and stops pain message to brain. Prayers for your wife.
Will check out the Brussels project.
